We're proud to introduce a new feature to our blog: The Mike Merg Vector Vault, featuring a variety of resources for you to download and use in your designs, totally free of charge. The Vector Vault will be a semi-regular series offering a small selection of original resources & vector illustrations from our library.
We're kicking off the series with a texture pack featuring five hand-made grunge textures. Volume one includes a variety of distressed textures all measuring 16.5 x 21 inches at 300 PPI. We've included both vector and raster versions of the textures. We've noticed some slower systems have been experiencing a bit of lag while using the vector versions, but if your system can handle it, they work out quite nicely as distressed patterns in illustrator. Otherwise, the JPG versions are a nice alternative.
If you'd like to get a look at the textures, you can check out the sample-strips below. There's a link at the bottom of this post to download a .zip file containing both the full high-res versions and the vector versions. We hope you can use them somehow. Should you end up doing so, feel free to drop us a line and show us what you've made. We'd love to see. Thanks for having a look!
