Based in suburbs of Chicago, Mike Mergenthaler is a professional illustrator and designer with a reputation for delivering bold, narrative-driven work. Through his creative studio, Mike Merg Illustration & Design, he offers a versatile suite of graphic design and illustration services.

Mike’s portfolio spans a diverse range of scales, having worked with a variety of both national, and regional brands. On the national level, Mike has worked on projects for many large corporations including Coke, Nike, AB-Inbev, Wells Fargo, Lagunitas Brewing, and Fat Rosie’s Mexican Restaurants. His work is also deeply rooted in music culture, featuring limited-edition gig posters and merchandise for iconic acts such such as Iggy Pop, NOFX, Descendents, Jawbreaker, The Disco Biscuits, JohnnySwim, and more. Other non-local clients include a number of alternative weekly newspapers, notably The Stranger (Seattle), The Portland Mercury, and Isthmus (Madison).
